Academic advising efforts within the Department of Health and Human Performance help support the vision of the department to provide a student-centered learning environment. Access to and support from the department’s professional and faculty advisors help students to stay on track towards their educational and academic goals.
New freshmen and transfer students attend a CUSTOMS orientation program. CUSTOMS is offered every summer for the Fall semester and every December for the Spring semester. It provides students and their families an opportunity to come to campus to experience the MTSU academic and student services programs. For further information, please contact the CUSTOMS Orientation Office, 615.898.5533.
Current and Re-Enrolling Students:
The departmental advisors primarily work with freshmen, sophomore, and transfer students who have declared a major or minor within the department. Students may also see the advisors in order to:
declare a major or minor,
be assigned a faculty advisor,
gain departmental permission for Late Registration/Add/Drop form,
obtain approval of upper division forms for graduation (as minor advisor).
In the Department of Health and Human Performance, students are advised based on their major, minor, and concentration. You can find your faculty advisor by accessing your Pipeline account. If your account does not list an advisor in HHP, please contact the department advisor.
